The port at Great Yarmouth has 50 years of offshore support experience, as well as a maritime history that goes back many hundreds of years.

Today, Peel Ports Great Yarmouth is expanding and offers excellent facilities for the offshore oil and gas and renewable energy sectors, together with decommissioning and general cargo. It has the ability to handle a wide variety of shipping.

The port estate combines both the river port and outer harbour providing an integrated holistic offering. Parcels of land are offered for lease for port centric operations, supporting marine activity within the port.

Development Opportunities

The Port supports its customers’ investment decisions by offering long-term bare land leases for port activities.

Having the benefit both of Permitted Development Rights (PD rights) and a Local Development Order (LDO) allows investment decisions to be optimised and expedited by removing the need for long lead-in planning permission processes.
